Our Mission and Purpose
Supply Chain & Logistics Association Canada (SCL) acts as a significant link within the supply chain community, both nationally and internationally, providing supply chain professionals and their companies access to up-to-date information and resources regarding supply chain management, best-in-class business practices, benchmarking, research and market intelligence.
SCL represents a broad spectrum of manufacturers, retailers and service providers who view supply chain management as a critical driver of competitive differentiation, increasing shareholder value.
SCL brings supply chain professionals together in unique forums to learn from each other and industry experts at the regional level through our chapters, as well as through national programs. It is this peer-to-peer education and our members' passion for supply chain management that sets SCL apart from other organizations and gives business value back to our members.
Mission:
SCL exists to serve our members by advancing the logistics and supply chain profession in Canada through:
- Communication and networking;
- Education and training; and
- Knowledge and leadership.
The Association attracts individual practitioners, consultants, service providers and teachers from throughout the industry and from all management levels.
Purpose:
Supply Chain & Logistics Association Canada (SCL) is a non-profit organization of business professionals interested in improving their logistics and supply chain management skills through a comprehensive program of education, research and networking opportunities.
SCL also serves companies wishing to gain strengthened awareness of government activity affecting their supply chain operations; access to training and education opportunities; and, information on global trends in logistics.
Active and growing chapters across the country form our foundation. Focusing on particular regional issues and professional development, seminars and other events allow the Association to serve members' specific needs.
